Tim Leslie’89

Tim is a graduate of Beloit College, class of 1989, and received his law degree from Yale. Tim brings 20 years of experience as an executive at Amazon.

He first served as the Vice President & Associate General Counsel of Worldwide Retail & Operations where he was part of Amazon’s Retail, Operations and International leadership teams, working on the launch and growth of Amazon’s international businesses and global IT and logistics infrastructure, and building Amazon’s international legal team. In 2013, Tim transitioned to a business role, launching and operating Prime Video in 200+ countries and territories globally.

In 2019, Tim left Amazon to become the CEO of Leafly, the world’s largest cannabis media and information company, which he helped convert to an e-commerce marketplace.

Tim now serves as a management consultant and board member of nonprofit and for-profit companies who share his passion for nurturing our local communities, the people and small businesses within them and the environment that sustains them. Tim is excited to be back at Beloit College to learn from and share with the community that imbued him with the liberal arts – how to think broadly, analyze objectively and communicate inclusively to find the best solutions.

Tim taught IDST 204: The Art of Leading and worked with college administration on various strategic projects.
